Maya's Blessing

A bit of background:

We tried for over 5 years to fall pregnant. Maya is truly our miracle child after 8 rounds of IVF, numerous failed pregnancies and a miscarriage. She was born on 11 January 2021 and surprised us by arriving 5 weeks early! After spending 3 weeks in NICU, she survived a fire in our home, after being home for only a week. (There was an electrical fault with the geyser, and the roof set on fire.) We have since then moved homes….Philips’ father Rudi Standl then passed away in Germany and sadly never got to meet Maya :( - so its been a bit of a rough start for us, but we have a lot to celebrate and are very grateful for our little miracle child!

Date: Saturday 18 September 11-12AM,

Blessing Ceremony 11-12am:  

It is a very small and intimate ceremony with 18 close friends and family.

Grannies: Christine Standl + Naomi Brooks (Sadly both Grand Pa’s have passed.)

God Parents: Michelle Standl (Philips’ Sister) + Bianca Humphreys-Davies (My sister - Both the Aunties)
